April has long had an interest in music and movement. She is an accomplished musician and singer. As a young adult, she was part of the nascent punk rock movement in Lower Manhattan in the late 1970's and was friend and or colleague to most of the significant figures of those heady days. April turned to personal athletic training and Reiki as her career. April was the manager and a fitness instructor at a large Sussex County sports club and now works privately, with select clientele in their homes. April's other interests are reading, cooking, Renaissance Fairs and sewing. In many ways, April's involvement with dance reflects a return to her original love of music and the way it can calm the mind, speak to the soul and, of course, move the body.
